The Proposal, Got A Job and Bought a House, all in ONE week!

Approximately 24 days ago Jack asked me to marry him! Where has time gone? Seriously, don't ask because I couldn't tell you. All within a week I got a job, got engaged and put an offer on a house that was accepted. Then put a date on the wedding and booked the church. It was closer to four days apart but who's counting, to summaries, my life had been a none stop 6am wake up till 1am sleeping whirlwind for the past month and you could say it's been a shock to the system!
Not to mention I feel like I see my fiancé twice a week and that is it, were we are both so tired we just watch 'I'm A Celeb', fall asleep in our own beds and crack on with a new day. Doesn't sound like much of a life right! But there is only two goals in mind and it's all for a worthy cause!
The wedding of our dreams..within a budget! There is no £30k being splashed over here and quite frankly we don't see the point in spending a eye watering amount for one day of our lives where the money could really go on building our forever dream life. Of course while still maintaining a sensational wedding to our tastes and liking. (The second goal being our new home!)
THE PROPOSAL

The lowdown is that we went to Annecy for a weekend getaway. Well so I thought - little did I know Jack was going to pop the question. A long story cut short, we were walking along the lake, snowy mountains and glistening water in sight, then he comes out with words I despise.."Ive been lying to you"..I wasn't fearful but overwhelmed with confusion, mixed in with a frozen to the bone and absolute fatigue from waking up at 4am made for a emotional wreck! He went on "So I wasn't here when I said I was and I wasn't working late when I said I was, instead I was shopping for this.." the next thing I know i'm repeating "Jack, No, Jack, No", holding my hand to my mouth, shaking my head and he's on his knee asking me the question girls dream of "Will you marry me" right under an oak tree. By that point I was balling my eyes out, nodding and leaped to embrace him! According to Jack, I didn't say 'Yes' for a good five minutes.

This > is our actual engagement photograph right after it happened, taken by a very sweet elderly french lady, but no one else need see this as I remember how I felt, primarily dishevelled and that is what I see when I look at it. But also very very happy!

November Wedding Plans

- Wedding dress shopping with two out of four of my bridesmaids followed by lunch and afternoon tea! I didn't tell the girls where we were going or what we were doing until 30 minutes beforehand where I asked them to be my bridesmaids by gifting them with jewellery.
- The church and venue was booked

- Save the Dates were created by myself, printed, sent out, received and published
over social media, which i'm not going to lie, quite enjoyed soaking in! The Redhawks being Jacks' american football team.
- Discussions regarding family politics. Literally, no one seems to recognise its our day, not theirs! I have rapidly come to understand what everyone originally said to me 'everyone has their own opinions, stick with who you want there and what you want to do', boy do people have an opinion that they wish to thrust upon you!
